Serving 17 years in the Lake County State’s Attorney’s Office, Bishop was Division Chief for the Juvenile Trial and Special Investigations Divisions, as well as Supervising Attorney for the Lake County Children’s Advocacy Center.

During her time as a prosecuting attorney, Bishop’s specialty was working with victims and families. As a Judge, she is approachable and compassionate to all who come before her in court.

Judge Bishop is married to attorney Greg Nikitas, and they have two children. Judge Bishop is a recipient of the Juvenile Officers’ Association Hall of Fame Award as well as the Fred L. Foreman Criminal Justice Award.

Seeking your vote. Appointed by the Illinois Supreme Court from February 1, 2016 until December 3, 2018. Judge Christy is currently assigned to preside over felony trials and motions, civil forfeitures, and assist with specialty courts.

Appointed Judges are required by law to be elected by popular vote at the next election cycle. You will have the chance to vote to show your support in the Primary election on the third Tuesday in March, 2018. That’s March 20, 2018.
